I believe that patients do best at home–people and pets–therefore at Gentle Vet Animal Hospital we reduce patients’ hospitalization to the minimum needed.

We have recently operated on two geriatric dogs, one with multiple large and infected skin tumors, the other with an invasive leg tumor that required amputation. Both patients did very well under anesthesia and once recovered and able to stand and walk–usually within a couple of hours–they were sent home for owner supervision and care. Of course they were sent home with the appropriate medications and instructions of care.

This approach makes both owners and pets more comfortable as it reduces the stress and anxiety of hospitalisation.

We stay in close communication with the owners and I’m available to address any concern they have 24 hours a day.

Please do not hesitate contacting us with any further questions you might have regarding your pets’ health and the surgery, diagnostics, and treatments we offer at Gentle Vet Animal Hospital.
